Pass mark details:

Diploma D1: Bookkeeping for Legal Finance Professionals

To pass the Diploma Bookkeeping examination, candidates must attain a minimum of 50% across both sections A & B (i.e. 17.5 out of 35 marks in section A and 32.5 out of 65 marks in section B). From May 2025 the pass mark will be 60% (i.e. 21 out of 35 marks in section A and 39 marks out of 65 in section B).

Diploma D2: Legal Professionals and the Accounts Rules/Legal Finance Compliance & Accounts Rules

To pass the Diploma Legal Professionals and the Accounts Rules examination/LFCAR, candidates must attain a minimum of 50% across both sections A & B (i.e. 25 out of 50 marks in section A and 25 out of 50 marks in section B).

Associate AA: Accounting for Legal Finance Professionals

To pass the Accounting examination, candidates must attain a minimum of 50% across both sections A & B (i.e. 25 marks out of 50 in section A and 25 marks out of 50 in section B). From May 2025 the pass mark will be 60% (i.e. 30 marks out of 50 in section A and 30 marks out of 50 in section B).

Associate AFM: Financial Management

To pass the Financial Management examination, candidates must attain a minimum of 50% across both sections A & B. (i.e.  marks out of 50 in section A and 25 marks out of 50 in section B).  From May 2025 the pass mark will be 60% (i.e. 30 marks out of 50 in section A and 30 marks out of 50 in section B).

Associate ALPM: Legal Practice Management

To pass the Legal Practice Management examination, candidates must attain a minimum of 50% across paper as a whole.

Associate ATAX: Tax for Legal Finance Professionals

To pass the Accounting examination, candidates must attain a minimum of 50% across both sections A & B (i.e. 25 marks out of 50 in section A and 25 marks out of 50 in section B).

Merit 75% +

Distinction 90% +

From May 2025 the pass mark is increasing to 60% for D1, AA and AFM with the condition remaining that both sections need to be passed.
