Sarah Blundell AILFM
My name is Sarah Blundell and I am the ILFM Diploma Tutor.
I have 20 years’ experience as a legal Cashier, working in small, medium and large law firms and have seen many different systems, procedures and guidelines in adhering to the SRA Accounts Rules.
As a student myself, I sat the Diploma exam many years ago and found it really beneficial, helping me to gain a better understanding of what was then the Solicitors Accounts Rules 1998. The course was extremely useful particularly when applying this knowledge to everyday questions and queries. I felt that I had gained so much by studying and sitting the Diploma exam that I then decided to sit the Associate course, the ILFM's level two qualification. Again, this was exceptionally useful, relevant and written in an easy to understand and practical way.
I love teaching, helping and guiding students with their studies - one of the many reasons I find the Diploma Tutor role very rewarding. I am also enjoying helping students establish the link between learning the course and applying that knowledge within practice. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing students earning a recognised qualification at the end of all the hard work.
In my spare time I do lots of child orientated fun activities keeping my small children busy such as swimming, camping, children parties, soft play and Thomas Land! When I can fit it in, I like to keep fit, go to the gym and swim as often as I can. I enjoy going out for dinner and to the cinema on the rare occasion we get time!
